Super Slime Arena is a party/fighting game where every attack is a one-hit K.O., developed by JellyTeam.
The concept that became Super Slime Arena was 'a minimalist fighting game'; every character would only have one move, and every move could knock out your opponent in one hit. While those rules have been adhered to, "minimalist" is a bit of a stretch these days; the roster has ballooned to 32 characters, with 12 stages and 5 unique game modes to duke it out in. Despite this, the game has remained largely accessible thanks to its simple controls and dedication to pick-up-and-playability; on the convention circuit, it regularly garnered matches of 8+ players using everything from DualShocks and WaveBirds to Pro Bass Fishing rods and D.K. Bongos.
Super Slime arena was gradually developed over many years using HaxeFlixel. I personally joined the development team late in the development cycle, and was brought on specifcally to implement online multiplayer. Since joining, I also contributed to a full menu redesign, extensions of the level specification, development of new gameplay features, and much more.
